Located in Toodyay, WA and owned by Brian and Merren Emery, Avon Valley Promotional Products sell promotional advertising products to Businesses, Schools, sporting groups and various retail outlets.

These include a range of pens, stubby holders, fridge magnets, business cards, polo shirts, hats and caps all personalised with individual company logos and names.

After years of running a small agency in the automotive industry, Brian and his wife became discontented with the City life and decided a change was necessary. After moving to the country, it soon became apparent to the Emerys that finding employment in the country was going to be harder than expected.

The idea of opening a promotional product business came about through a conversation with friends one evening.

"One night some friends of ours were telling us how they were considering sponsoring their children's sporting team. It was this conversation that sparked the idea about the business."

NEIS presented the Emery's with an opportunity to explore self employment as well as provided additional knowledge on business principals. This helped the Emerys in preparing a business plan which greatly assisted them to evaluate the viability of their idea.

While Brian focuses on dealing with customer inquiries, Merren's role is to prepare the production of the final product. To date the business has received rave reviews from their clients and has established an enviable reputation amongst its market.
